These terms and conditions form part your engagement with M Rome Joinery. By using this website, you agree to these terms and conditions in full. If you do not accept or do not agree with these terms and conditions or any part of these terms and conditions, you must not use our website. We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time and post the updated version on the website.

Most joinery that is built by M Rome Joinery Ltd is delivered primed and undercoated unless requested otherwise. It is the responsibility that the party applies the recommended number of top coats in line with the individual product recommendations.

Where joinery is supplied untreated it is the responsibility of the third party to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to protect untreated wood which should be decorated including priming undercoating and top coating in line with the individual product recommendations, normally within seven days of delivery.

Once delivered, it is the responsibility of the third party to ensure that all products delivered by M Rome Joinery Ltd are adequately kept in dry conditions that will not lead to any supplied product being damaged prior to fitting or installation.

M Rome Joinery Ltd cannot be held responsible for goods that deteriorate due to unsuitable storage.

Upon acceptance of a quotation, a 30% deposit must be paid in advance to secure engagement with M Rome Joinery (unless otherwise agreed).

Upon completion of work, the balance of payment is to be paid by return unless agreed otherwise. All goods remain the property of M Rome Joinery Ltd until paid for in full.

Any dates discussed and held for proposed works are provisional and non-binding until receipt of deposit.

A customer who wishes to cancel a contract with M Rome Joinery Ltd between acceptance of an estimate or quotation for works and commencement of works, must inform M Rome Joinery Ltd in writing. All deposits are non-refundable.

If a customer wishes to cancel after work has started as set out in the contract of works, the customer will be liable for all costs incurred above the value of the original deposit.

All damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery in writing to M Rome Joinery Ltd. Any damages resulting from poor installation or fitting by a third party are not subject to the terms of this agreement.

All joinery that has double glazed units installed by M Rome Joinery Ltd carry a five year guarantee offered by the suppliers of the glazed units from the date of manufacture.

Joinery that is not pre-glazed by M Rome Joinery Ltd and has not been installed in accordance with GGF (Glass and Glazing Federation) Guidelines will not be covered by any guarantee.

Wood is a natural product and must be maintained regularly to preserve it in an optimal condition. This may include - but not be limited to - priming, undercoating, topcoating, staining, varnishing. Due to the variety of wood maintenance products available and so many different kinds of wood it is not possible to offer specific guidance.
